We are pleased to announce that BARIKIT is now the premium sponsor of the Fischbach moped race! It is our passion as a manufacturer of moped tuning parts to support and experience an event like the Fischbach moped race.

The 17 ¾ hour race in Fischbach is one of the most famous races in southern Germany. On the weekend of September 10th and 11th, 2022, the Fischbach moped long-distance team race will be held for the 11th time in the idyllic community of Fischbach near Niedereschach in the Black Forest. The event is organized by the youth club Fischbach, the Guggenmusik “Ohrwumer” and the Musikverein Fischbach eV.

The long-distance race is completed in teams of up to five drivers, each of whom can be supported by two mechanics. Driving is with a moped and a maximum of 49ccm. The maximum top speed is 50 km/h. The frame and engine must originally come from a moped. Unlike in public transport, tuning is encouraged here!

The start will be on Saturday, September 10th at 6:15 p.m. after prior technical approval of the mopeds and qualifying. Dusk begins just one hour after the start. The route, which has a length of approx. 2.2 km, changes its character. The off-road and asphalt route is many times more demanding. Good lighting is as essential as a durable engine and fit drivers. The pit lanes are also bustling with activity to keep the vehicles running.

While the last one strays out of the adjoining party tent at sunrise, the race is still in full swing. The drivers don't notice much of all this. The focus is clear: persevere and win! They are motivated by up to 10,000 visitors. An inspired feeling that brings visitors and drivers together.

Driving will continue until 12 noon on Sunday. The winning team will be chosen in a subsequent awards ceremony. The winner is the one who drives the most laps on his moped in the 17 ¾. In the past there were up to 366 laps totaling almost 800 km.

After four long years of the Corona dry spell, we are happy when the engines roar again. We wish all participants good preparation time, a lot of perseverance and a fantastic race weekend!
