Cylinder honing for grey cast iron cylinders at BARIKIT
If your cylinder is worn out or broken, you don't have to buy a new one straight away. You can simply have your cast iron cylinder or aluminum cylinder with a cast bushing rehoned. This will bring it up to the next size and make it shine like new again. You can now drive thousands of kilometers on your moped again. Are you unsure whether your cylinder is coated or has a cast bushing? Just check with a magnet. If the magnet sticks to the raceway, then you definitely have a cast raceway.
Why BARIKIT cylinder overhaul:
- With a delicate touch: Before your gray cast iron cylinder can be properly honed, the coarsest material must be removed. This step is also commonly referred to as "fine boring". Scores and scratches are completely eliminated.
- Customer-specific adjustments: After the cylinder has been machined, the honing process is initiated and the cylinder is brought to the exact desired piston size. We also offer the installation of a new piston as an option (piston available separately).
- Choose the "Honing grey cast iron cylinders" in our shop.
- Order the right piston for your cylinder. Alternatively, you can use your own piston, please enclose it.
- Print out the order confirmation and enclose it in the package.

Shipping is currently available to all countries. The shipping costs will be displayed during the ordering process (Germany: standard €5.90 and small items: €3.95; EU countries: standard €13.95 and small items: €5.40; international: €59.90 for 5kg and €39.90 for 2kg). For orders over €100, shipping is free within the EU.
For deliveries to countries outside the European Union, additional costs may arise in individual cases for which we (the seller) are not responsible and which you (the customer) must bear. These include, for example, costs for money transfers through credit institutions (e.g., transfer fees, exchange rate fees) or import duties or taxes (e.g., customs duties).
We will inform you of the estimated delivery time for your order via email (order confirmation). However, this time may vary depending on the selected items and shipping method. A more precise delivery time estimate can be found in the shipping confirmation, which you will receive by email as soon as your order is on its way. Within Germany, delivery usually takes 2-3 days. For all other EU countries, delivery varies between 4-6 days.
